Friday Night Funkin' features two main modes: Story Mode and FreePlay. Story Mode challenges you through multiple weeks, each packed with different opponents and songs. On the flip side, FreePlay lets you replay your favorite levels at any time, letting you practice your rhythm and improve your scores.
In this game, each battle introduces you to a wild opponent and brings you to a fresh light stage. You watch the opponent move first when the battle starts, and you begin your turn when arrows appear close to your friend. Your task is to hit every note in sync with the music to keep your groove alive. The health bar at the bottom shows your performance—keep the green section filled until the song ends to claim victory.
